All-Time St. Bart’s Win’s Leader, Frank “the G.O.A.T” Chupko was in complete control, and fired an 11 hit shutout as St Anthony defeated St Francis 11-0. Captain Bobby Camisa’s team got off to a fast start scoring 3 runs in the top of the first inning thanks to RBI singles by Andrew Smyth, Jack Kennedy and Floyd Roberts.
St Anthony collected 23 hits and were led by leadoff hitter Mike Markowycz’s 4 for 4 performance. Kennedy, Smyth, Carlos Da Costa, Luis Fraguas, Matt Marino, Erick “Nails” Hastrup and Captain Camisa each racked up multiple hits. St Francis was led by Rick Wustefeld and Joe LoBrace each with two hits.

In an extra inning affair, St. Ignatius’s outlasted St Joseph 21-16 in 8 innings. Trailing by 2 runs in the bottom of the 7th, St Ignatius’s Ross Alpert came up big with a 2 run home run knotting things up at 14. The game featured 8 lead exchanges, the last occurring with St Joe’s batting in the top of the eighth when Christopher Millar hit a 2 run Home Run.
St Ignatius racked up 26 hits. Bryan Stitt (4 for 4), Ara Movsesian, Mike Cunningham, Pete Chemidlin, Robert Cihanowyz, Donald Rinaldo, Paul Bifani, and Alpert each had multiple hits.
Despite the loss, St Joseph tallied 28 hits. Tom “Horse Whisperer” Swales (4 for 5), Dan Brown, Michael Kelly, Gary Leichtling, David Eckert, David Merkel, Millar, Chris Paterek, James Devlin, and Gerald Russo each collected multiple hits.

Inspired by veteran outfielder Gus Alvarez’s pre-game comments, St Francis jumped out to an early 2-0 lead in the first inning when Chris “Roc” Sarna hit a run scoring triple and later scored on a single by Tom Ulichny. St Francis earned the 7-5 victory despite allowing St George to score three runs in the second inning as Francis Vecchione, Jim “the Commish” Killeen, and Robert Del Cid each drove in runs.
St Francis pulled away for good with two runs in the second inning and later added an insurance run in the fifth when Sarna blasted a solo Home Run.
St Francis totaled 15 hits in the game. Ulichny, Alvarez, Geoff Dickstein, Mike “Koz” Kozlowski, and Sarna each racked up multiple hits.
St George racked up 11 hits. Killeen, Del Cid, and Vecchione each managed multiple hits for St George.

St Ignatius scored 9 runs over the first 2 innings and St Vincent couldn’t recover in a 16-4 loss.
St Ignatius racked up 21 hits with Brian Stitt leading the way going 4 for 4 at the plate. Ara Movsesian, Rob Stratton and Paul Bifani each had 3 hits. St Vincent totaled 10 hit as Daniel Roy and Keith “Coach” Karyczak collected multiple hits. Roy also hit a solo home run in the third inning.
